Astana Garden School is the only private school in Kazakhstan that can offer your child a quality education in the form of preparation for admission to the best universities in the world and provide full admissions support.

What does the AGS curriculum cover?
A:
The academic program covers Compulsory National Curriculum (CNC) subjects and provides AGS components aimed at unlocking the full potential of students and developing their intellectual, leadership and creative skills. Moreover, the school prepares students for international exams and offers a comprehensive support in determining their profession, selecting universities, collecting documents and applying to the best educational institutions in the world.

Subjects are taught in English, Kazakh and Russian languages.

Applications for the new academic year will be accepted from 15th July to 5th September 2020

What stages of education does AGS provide in the 2020-2021 academic year?
A:
Currently, we provide secondary education from year 7 to year 11.
Q:
What are the English language entry requirements?
A:
English language requirements vary between grades. Preferred minimum level for students entering:
7th grade - Pre-intermediate;
8-9th grades – Intermediate;
10-11th grades - Upper-intermediate.

What are Astana Garden School's general entry requirements?

To enter the school a student should have a good knowledge of English and Mathematics alongside to motivation.

Entry requirements are the same for international and domestic students.

A:
After the closing date, we will review all applications and shortlist candidates to invite for interview. During the interview a student will be asked questions from the national curriculum.

When will the interviews take place?
A:
Interviews will begin on 20th July by appointment.

When will the results of the interview be announced?
A:
The results will be announced within 3 days after the interview.

How much does an interview cost?
A:
Free of charge.

In what language will the interview be conducted?

The interview will be conducted in English, Kazakh and Russian languages.

All interviews will be carried out by the selection committee.

The interview lasts from 30 to 40 minutes.

The interview will be conducted remotely through the Microsoft Teams platform.

How can I pay for my child's tuition?
A:
Tuition fees can be paid through the Kaspi / Homebank mobile applications or at the branches of Kaspi Bank and Halyk Bank.

Do you pay monthly or termly?
A:
There is a payment calendar in the contract. Payment for the academic year can be made in 4 installments.

Do we need to pay a deposit to secure a place?
A:
We do not require to pay the deposit.

Are there any full payment discounts?
A:
We do not provide discounts for full payment
Q:
Will there be any discounts if more than one child from one family enrolls the school?
A:
Discounts are not available in case of distance learning.
Q:
Are there any scholarships and discounts?
A:
Merit-based discounts are issued in the amount of 25% to 50%. Discounts are available only for full-time format.
Q:
How long do merit-based discounts last?
A:
To retain the discount in the next academic year students have to maintain academic success, good discipline and active participation in non-academic activities.
Q:
Who can apply for a discount?
A:
The discount is awarded to students with high academic performance, good discipline, active participation in extracurricular activities and high results in international tests.
Q:
How can a student lose his/her tuition discount?
A:
Discounts can be lost if a student will violate the Student Code of Conduct and fail to maintain high academic performance.
Q:
Are there any other expenses apart from tuition fee?
A:
During the study, every student will have to take from 2 to 4 international tests depending on his/her progress. Also, students will have to pay mandatory registration fees when applying to international universities.
Q:
When my child will be enrolled to the school?
A:
A student will be enrolled to the school after:

- successfully completing the interview stage;
- paying the first installment;
- signing the contract;
- submitting list of documents;
- filling out the questionnaire.
Q:
What documents are required to submit for enrollment?
A:
- A letter of withdrawal from the previous place of study;
- A copy of the student's identity document (Birth certificate / National ID / passport);
- A copy of parents'/legal representative's identity document (National ID / passport);
- Transcripts and reports for the previous years of study;
- Recommendation letter;
- Photo 3x4 (2 pieces);

Medical documents:
- Student health passport;
- Vaccination card (form No. 063);
- Medical form No. 086;
- If a child has food allergies and/or gastrointestinal disorders, it is necessary to provide a prescription from GP, allergist or gastroenterologist.
